Trump plans to repaint Air Force One red, white and blue

WASHINGTON, United States 鈥 Air Force One鈥檚 iconic blue-and-white color scheme may be on the way out.

US President Donald Trump has announced plans to repaint the next model of the presidential aircraft.

鈥淩ed, white and blue,鈥 Trump told CBS 黑料社 of his plan to have the next version emblazoned with the colors of the American flag.

鈥淎ir Force One is going to be incredible,鈥 Trump said in the interview with CBS, which took place over the weekend and was aired on Tuesday.

鈥淚t鈥檚 going to be the top of the line, the top in the world,鈥 he said. 鈥淎nd it鈥檚 going to be red, white and blue, which I think is appropriate.鈥

US aircraft manufacturer Boeing is to supply the next presidential jetliner, which won鈥檛 take to the skies for several years.

鈥淏oeing gave us a good deal,鈥 Trump told CBS. 鈥淎nd we were able to take that.

鈥淏ut I said, 鈥業 wonder if we should use the same baby blue colors?鈥 And we鈥檙e not.鈥
