Malaca帽ang was silent about the reported impending change of leadership at the House of Representatives.
In an interview with Radyo Inquirer on Monday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque refused to comment on talks that former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo would replace Pantaleon Alvarez as House Speaker.
鈥淢alinaw po na ang liderato ng Kamara ay isang bagay para sa Kamara De Representante at hindi po nanghihimasok ang Malaca帽ang d鈥檡an,鈥� the Palace official said when sought for comment on the issue.
(It鈥檚 clear that the House leadership is something for the House of Representatives and Malaca帽ang does not interfere with it.)
Arroyo is in her final term as Pampanga鈥檚 2nd District representative.
Reports on Arroyo replacing Alvarez surfaced as early as 2016, although the former President said she was 鈥渘ot interested鈥� in the post.聽聽 /kga
