Napolcom OKs promotion of Eleazar to 2-star rank

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar was promoted on Friday to the next higher rank of Police Director as recommended by the National Police Commission (Napolcom).
Eleazar’s promotion was endorsed by the chairman of the Civil Service Commission, according to a Malacañang document released Friday.
“I’m so grateful to the Almighty, PRRD (President Rodrigo Roa Duterte), SILG (Secretary of Interior and Local Government), and particularly to our CPNP (Chief of Philippine National Police) for this honor and promotion being given to me,” Eleazar told 黑料社 in a text message.
Eleazar said he has yet to receive the order for his promotion from the PNP National Headquarters, which will be the basis for his oath-taking.
“This will serve as my continuing inspiration and motivation to work harder and smarter as NCRPO (National Capital Region Police Office) chief,” he said.
The NCRPO was awarded as the most notable region in the fight against illegal drugs and internal cleansing in the country in the recent 117th National Police Service Anniversary. /muf
