Malacañang assured that the mayors who were “missing in action” in their respective cities and towns during the onslaught of typhoon “Ompong” would be given “due process” as the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) launched an investigation on their absence.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the mayors were already given a chance to explain their alleged absence as the typhoon-ravaged their localities.
