The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is wrapping up this year鈥檚 Family Week through a bloodletting and a concert on Sept. 29.
Members will pay a visit to a caring home for the aged, followed by a bloodletting from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
A concert will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. as part of the closing ceremony at Bacoor Stake Center in Bacoor, Cavite province.
This year鈥檚 celebration will carry theme 鈥淭ungo sa Maginhawa, Matatag at Panatag na Pamilyang Pilipino,鈥 with the Twitter hashtag 鈥#Bacoornationalfamilyweek2018.鈥 Other events held earlier in the week included a motorcade, followed by the opening ceremony at the Stake Center.
Free services ranging from haircut, manicure, makeup to massages were also offered.
For members of the church, the weeklong festivities provided an opportunity to build relationships with people of other faiths in the community who uphold family values.
鈥淣o other work transcends that of righteous, intentional parenting,鈥 said Russell M. Nelson, president of the church, as he reminded parents and leaders to devote their best efforts to teaching and rearing children according to Gospel principles, which will keep them close to the church.
