TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol聽鈥� A college teacher and a former overseas Filipino worker filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) on Wednesday morning.
Dominic Olaer Villafuerte, a former councilor of Candijay town in Bohol, is running as an independent candidate for board member in the third district of Bohol.
鈥淎rmed with my educational qualifications and various experiences, I believe I am ready to serve the people of Bohol,鈥� said Villafuerte.
鈥淢odesty aside, I have the willingness and determination to serve and make a difference to the Boholano community,鈥� he added.
Villafuerte, 39, said ordinary people should be given the chance to run and serve the public. 鈥淧eople deserve more choices, public service is not only the rich and the privileged,鈥� he said. /ee
