According to the study released by the Philippine Statistics Authority last month, 434,932 marriages were recorded in 2017.

This was an increase of 3.6 percent from the 419,628 marriages recorded in 2016.

One-third of the total number of marriages in 2017 were recorded in the months of May (11.6 percent), December (11.5 percent), and February (10.4 percent).
