Pagasa: Expect 1 to 2 storms in November

Up to 2 tropical cyclones are expected in the country in November, the state weather bureau said Friday.

Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) Senior weather specialist Chris Perez said tropical cyclone tracks during this part of the year usually affects the central and southern part of the Philippines.

The cyclones during the last quarter of the year also have stronger intensities, he said.

For this month, the typhoons would either develop in the Pacific or inside the Philippine area of responsibility.

The trough of Tropical Storm “Rosita” (international name Yutu) will still bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands as it heads towards southern China, Pagasa said.

Meawhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have fair weather with chances of localized thunderstorms. /muf
