Duterte names new NAPC, PCUP execs

President Rodrigo Duterte has designated Noel Kinazo Felongco and Alvin San Juan Feliciano as lead convenor of the National National Anti-Poverty Commission and chairperson of the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor, respectively.

Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo made the announcement on Tuesday during a Palace briefing, adding that the President signed their appointment papers on Oct. 31.

Felongco will take the post vacated by Liza Maza, who resigned last April to protest the cancellation of government peace talks with the communists.

Taking Felongco’s place at PCUP is Feliciano, who served as Technical Education and Skills Development Authority deputy director-general.

Meanwhile, Charmalou Aldevera, a Davao City lawyer, was named assistant secretary under the Office of the President (OP).
