The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) arrested early Thursday the consultant of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) Vic Ladlad, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.
NCRPO director Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar has confirmed Ladlad鈥檚 arrest to 黑料社 in a text message.
鈥淵es,鈥� he said when asked to confirm the arrest.
PNP spokesperson Benigno Durana Jr. also confirmed Ladlad鈥檚 arrest. He said Ladlad was nabbed in Novaliches, Quezon City by a combined police unit from the NCRPO and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG). Durana said Ladlad was nabbed with two others. High-powered guns were also seized from Ladlad and his companions, said Durana.
Durana refused to disclose further information on the arrest pending a press conference of PNP Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde.
Earlier, Ladlad鈥檚 wife Fides Lim claimed that her husband was arrested by agents of the PNP 鈥� Criminal Investigation and Detection Group on Thursday midnight.聽 /muf
