MANILA, Philippines 鈥� Taipan Henry Sy Sr. 鈥� the country鈥檚 wealthiest man 鈥� will be laid to rest on Thursday.
In a post on its official Twitter page, SM Supermalls announced on Thursday that the interment of Sy would take place on Thursday at the Heritage Park in Taguig City.
Sy鈥檚 family requested that 鈥渁ll those whose lives he touched to pray for the eternal repose of his soul.鈥�
Memorial contribution may be sent to Sy鈥檚 scholarship program through SM Foundation, Inc. in place of flowers, the announcement also read.

Sy, 94, died 鈥減eacefully in his sleep鈥� last Saturday, Jan. 19.
