Duterte appoints ex- military official as DSWD USecÂ
MANILA, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed another retired military officer to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Duterte named former Assistant Division Commander of the Mechanized Infantry Division of the Philippine Army Felicisimo Budiongan as DSWD undersecretary.
The President signed Budiongan’s appointment paper on January 23, 2019.
Budiongan served as assistant division commander from November 2016 to August 2018.
Budiongan joins the growing list of retired military officials appointed in government.
DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista is a former Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. / gsg
