Palace says new laws signed proof of ‘decisive, compassionate leadership’
MANILA, Philippines — The Palace said on Tuesday that that the signing of several bills into law showed President Rodrigo Duterte’s “decisive and compassionate leadership.”
“Indeed, all these landmark measures, not to mention the laws on special protection of children in situations of armed conflict, secondary school career guidance and counseling and the establishment of a sports training center, underscore that we have a decisive and compassionate leadership that will be the mark of the Administration until the remainder of the President’s term,” Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in a statement on Tuesday.
Earlier, Duterte signed Republic Act (RA) 11201creating the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, the National Integrated Cancer Control Act, and Republic Act (RA) 11202 which would allow subscribers to keep the same mobile number even if they change mobile service providers.
