MANILA, Philippines — The interim leaders of the new Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao’s (BARMM) will take their oath on Friday, February 22, Malacañang said Wednesday.
The region’s officials will be sworn in by President Rodrigo Duterte in a ceremony in Malacañang.
Aside from the oath-taking, the ceremonial confirmation of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) plebiscite canvass results will also take place.
After the leaders have taken their oath, the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) will be formed, which will be the interim government of the BARMM until the region elects its leaders in 2022.
The Palace had yet to release a list of BTA appointees as of posting. /cbb
