QCPD to strictly implement vaping regulations

/ 05:22 AM March 28, 2019

MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said it would strictly implement a new local ordinance regulating the use of electronic cigarettes, or e-cigarettes, in public spaces.

Brig. Gen. Joselito Esquivel Jr., QCPD director, also called on the public to comply with the new ordinance and encouraged business establishments to follow guidelines.

Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista signed last week City Ordinance No. 2737-2018, which seeks to penalize e-cigarette use, or “vaping,” in places of worship, hospitals or other health care centers, public conveyances, government offices, and educational or recreational facilities intended for minors.
