Female dentist shot dead in Calbayog City

ORMOC CITY — A female dentist was shot dead by a still unidentified gunman inside her vehicle in Barangay Rawis, Calbayog City, Samar on Monday afternoon.
As of this posting, investigators have not determined the motive in the killing of Vicky Romhur, 69.
But they were checking if Romhur’s death had any connection to the still unresolved killing of her niece, Catherine Romhur Johnson, who was shot last year while buying bread from a bakery.
Romhur was driving her gray Mitsubishi Strada pickup and was heading home to Narcisa Hills Subdivision in Barangay Rawis at around 4:45 p.m. when an unidentified gunman shot her in the face several times.
The vehicle kept moving for about 100 meters before it came to a stop.
