TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines -The town of San Julian in Eastern Samar continues to experience aftershocks from the magnitude 6.5 tremor that rocked the town on April 23.
On Wednesday, minor quakes were felt in the town but did not cause any damage.
The first aftershock was felt at about 5:32 a.m. at a 3.5 magnitude followed by another jolt at about 7:43 a.m. at a 2.1 magnitude.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the tremors were aftershocks of the magnitude 6.5 that hit the town and several areas in Eastern Visayas.
Since the April 23 tremor, the town of San Julian has experienced 22 tremors ranging from a 1.6 magnitude to a 4.6. magnitude. /muf
