Cayetano鈥檚 first book launched in Cebu
SENATOR Pia Cayetano’s first book, “My Daily Race,” which tells her story as a multi-tasking senator, mother and triathlete, was successfully launched at the Active Zone of the Ayala Center in Cebu City last week.
Cayetano’s friends from politics, business, the academe, and Cebu’s running and triathlon community came to the launch, led by Gov. Gwen Garcia and Rep. Rachel “Cutie” Del Mar of Cebu City’s northern district.
Ambassador Frank Benedicto, a longtime friend of the senator’s family, and Toby’s Sports founder Roberto “Bobby” Claudio Sr. also graced the occasion.
In her speech, the lady senator thanked the Cebuanos for supporting her advocacies as a legislator, such as the improvement of government health services and promotion of women empowerment.
She also acknowledged the province’s efforts to promote sports among its people, especially the youth.
