MANILA, Philippines 鈥 Reelectionist Sen. Cynthia Villar remained in the top spot of the senatorial race with 24,829,415 votes, according to the latest partial, unofficial tally of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV)-Inquirer Transparency Server.
As of 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Villar was followed by fellow reelectionist Sen. Grace Poe with 21,693,367 votes; former Special Assistant to the President Christopher 鈥淏ong鈥 Go with 20,170,912; and former Taguig City Rep. Pia Cayetano with 19,413,999.
Completing the Magic 12 are the following candidates:
-former Bureau of Corrections chief Ronald 鈥淏ato鈥 dela Rosa: 18,540,589
-Sen. Sonny Angara: 17,846,200
-former Sen. Lito Lapid: 16,688,514
-Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos: 15,573,399
-former presidential political adviser Francis Tolentino: 15,163,994
-former Sen. Ramon 鈥淏ong鈥 Revilla Jr.: 14,357,857
-Sen. Aquilino 鈥淜oko鈥 Pimentel III: 14,354,226
-Sen. Nancy Binay: 14,298,959
Reelectionist Sen. JV Ejercito is still on the brink of losing his senatorial bid after landing in the 13th spot with 14,064,606 votes.
Sen. Bam Aquino, the sole opposition party Otso Diretso candidate to enter the top 20, was in the 14th spot with 13,944,829 votes.
The results came from 85,177 of the 87,851 clustered precincts nationwide.
