MANILA, Philippines — Workers who will be reporting for work during holidays in the month of June should be paid twice their regular daily pay, the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) said Sunday.

In June, the dates of June 5 and June 12 are declared regular holidays in celebration of Eid’l Fitr and Philippine Independence Day, respectively, the labor department said in a statement.

The Dole said those who will report for work shall be paid 200 percent of their daily salary for the first eight hours.
