MANILA, Philippines – Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) operations resumed normal operations Monday afternoon after a 15 kilometer per hour (kph) speed limit was imposed on all trips, the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) said.

The speed restriction was imposed on from 11:55 to 11:59.

LRT-1 trains usually travel at a maximum speed of 40 kph, according to the LRMC.

“The 4-minute speed restriction was implemented to allow our technician to fix one door on one train,” LRMC Head of Corporate Communications Rochelle Gamboa told .

Gamboa also said no trips were affected as the LRMC “merely slowed down the speed of the train for safety.” /gsg
