MANILA, Philippines – An official of the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission was arrested Monday night for threatening a security guard using a loaded firearm in Taguig City.
According to Taguig City Police, the threat happened after the victim identified as Raul Raet had a heated argument with suspect Mariano Jose Villafuerte III in front of a hospital in Fort Bonifacio.
At the height of the argument, Villafuerte allegedly drew and loaded his firearm.
Police said the 56-year-old suspect is the Director for Intelligence Investigation of PACC.
The victim then asked assistance from police officers who proceeded to the area and arrested the suspect.
Police allegedly recovered from Villafuerte a 9mm pistol, three magazines, 48 bullets, and gun permits. /jpv
