CEBU CITY鈥擜 41-year-old man suffered听 a heart attack and died after watching the latest fight of Manny Pacquiao on Sunday (July 21).
听Lorenz Dizon, a resident of Barangay Kalunasan, was rushed to the Vicente Sotto Medical Memorial Center (VSMMC) at 1:35 p.m but was declared dead on arrival.
听Guadalupe Barangay Captain Michael Gacasan said village officials got a call for help for a man who could hardly breathe after watching the fight at the village hall.
听Gacasan said Dizon had already returned home after watching the fight when he suffered the attack.
听Dizon鈥檚 brother attributed it to the boxing match.
听He said Lorenz has a blood clot in the heart and had been discharged from the hospital just on Saturday (July 20), a day before the Pacquiao fight.
听Another fan, Margarito Casquejo, 60, of the village of Sawang Calero, was also rushed to hospital after having difficulty breathing while celebrating Pacquiao鈥檚 victory. Casquejo is now in stable condition,
