A man was able to catch a phone as it was falling, while he was riding a roller coaster which was going over 130 kilometers per hour, at the PortAventura World theme park in Tarragona, Spain.
Samuel Kempf stopped the device鈥檚 fall when it flew by聽his arm鈥檚 reach, as seen in his video on YouTube last Wednesday, Sept. 4.
Kempf told Stuff last Thursday, Sept. 5, that a fellow passenger, who was two rows ahead of him, dropped his phone from off his cart as the ride started to ascend.
鈥淗e was trying to reach down and grab it but because he was locked in he couldn鈥檛 reach it,鈥 Kempf said in the report.
He then jokingly told his brother and other fellow riders to 鈥済et ready to catch鈥 the phone that had fallen into the other man鈥檚 cart.
The phone then fell out of the passenger鈥檚 cart after the ride鈥檚 first drop. As Kempf saw the phone falling, he reached out and was able to catch the phone in midair.
Kempf held on to the device for the rest of the ride, as per report. He returned it to its owner after they got off from the ride.
鈥淗e couldn鈥檛 believe it,鈥 Kempf was quoted as saying. 鈥淗e gave me a big hug.鈥
The whole moment was recorded on a camera attached to the roller coaster鈥檚 carts to catch the passengers鈥 reactions. Kempf said that people who were watching the recording of their ride 鈥渟tarted cheering and clapping鈥 when he caught the device.
As a gesture of gratitude, the owner of the phone bought the video of the ride for Kempf.
After being uploaded on YouTube, the video has since gone viral with over four million views as of this writing. Ryan Arcadio/JB
