CA OKs appointment of Demonteverde Sr. as JBC member

MANILA, Philippines 鈥 The Commission on Appointments (CA) on Wednesday confirmed the听ad interimappointment of Judge Franklin听Jaroda Demonteverde Sr. as a member of the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC).

As chair of the CA committee on justice and judicial and bar council, Senator Aquilino 鈥淜oko鈥 Pimentel III endorsed Demonteverde鈥檚 confirmation during the plenary.

No one objected to the confirmation of Demonteverde as JBC member representing the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).

Demonteverde took his oath as JBC last August 7. He replaced Atty. Maria Milagros N. Fernan-Cayosa as IBP representative.

His term is set to expire on July 9, 2023.

The CA also confirmed the promotions of 29 officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, which was endorsed by CA committee on national defense chair, Cavite 6th District Rep. Luis 鈥淛on-jon鈥 Ferrer IV.
