MANILA, Philippines 鈥� LRT-2 operations were suspended Thursday after a power rectifier tripped and caught fire in between stations.
Atty. Hernando Cabrera told 黑料社 in a text message that power rectifier located in between Santolan and Katipunan stations was the cause of the problem.
Operations have been suspended as of 11:24 a.m., according to the LRT-2鈥檚 Twitter post.

Cabrera added that the line鈥檚 management is also looking at how train operations will resume immediately without using the Katipunan station.
鈥淒oon sa ating standard operating procedure, pagka-nagkakaroon ng problema sa ating Katipunan area, pwede nating maibalik ang ating serbisyo using Recto hanggang Cubao or pwedeng Recto hanggang Anonas,鈥� Cabrera said in an interview over DZBB.
