Nicotine can cause an increase in blood pressure, heart rate, flow of blood to the heart and a narrowing of the arteries (vessels that carry blood). It also contributes to the hardening of the arterial walls, which in turn, may lead to heart ailments.

The Philippine National Police’s crackdown against vape users drew flak for alleged lack of legal basis as Duterte has yet to issue an executive order to formalize the ban.
