P.4M cocaine, shabu seized in Makati drug bust

MANILA, Philippines – Police seized six sachets of suspected cocaine worth an estimated P350,000 – P400,000 and arrested a drug suspect following a buy-bust operation in Makati City early Tuesday morning.

Call center agent Robert Baltazar, 29, was arrested in the operation launched by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Makati City Police in Barangay Poblacion at about 12:30 a.m.

Aside from the suspected cocaine, likewise seized from Baltazar were three sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P8,000, a pistol, seven bullets, and drug-using paraphernalia, the Makati police said.

Baltazar was brought to the Makati City Police Station and will be charged with possession and selling of illegal drugs.

The pieces of evidence seized from Baltazar will be submitted to the Crime Laboratory Office of the Philippine National Police at Camp Crame for further examination.
