MANILA, Philippines 鈥� The Federation of Free Workers (FFW) on Wednesday said the nonextension of martial law in Mindanao would help remove any doubt among potential investors about setting up shop there.
鈥淚t means the coming of jobs as a result of the removal of fear of terror, the boosting of tourism and new investments coming to Mindanao,鈥� FFW president Sonny Matula said.
President Rodrigo Duterte declared martial law in Mindanao in 2017 after the Maute terrorist group鈥檚 siege of Marawi City.
Congress thrice extended the declaration which is聽 set to expire on Dec. 31. 鈥擩ovic Yee
