MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Tuesday recorded 700 aftershocks after a 6.9-magnitude earthquake rocked Davao del Sur.

Phivolcs Director Renato Solidum Jr. told in a text message that as of 4 p.m., 630 out of 700 were minor aftershocks after the massive earthquake that hit Mindanao on Sunday.

“Out of the 700, 70 were reported felt, hence many aftershocks are minor,” Solidum said.
