ACT to UN: Gov鈥檛 behind attacks

The country’s largest public teachers’ union has gone before the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights to accuse the Duterte administration of perpetuating attacks against them.

The Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) reported threats against the group from the police and military, as well as red-tagging, cyberbullying, trumped-up charges and incarceration, between January and December 2019. —Matthew Reysio-Cruz
