P3.4M ‘shabu’ seized from 3 drug pushers in QC

MANILA, Philippines — About 500 grams of crystal meth or “shabu” worth P3.4 million was seized from three drug suspects on Saturday afternoon in Quezon City.

Operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) nabbed Karen Leal, 32, saleslady; John Rhens Timing, 20; and Jason Ymalay, 26, in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Kaligayahan, Quezon City at about 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 22, Saturday.

Aside from shabu, authorities confiscated one cellphone from the suspects.

Suspects are currently detained at the PDEA office and are facing charges for violation of Section 5 of Article II of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
