Bike rider dead in Camarines Sur road mishap

LEGAZPI CITY –– A bicycle rider died when he lost control of the mountain bike he was driving in Pamplona town in Camarines Sur province Monday morning.

Police Corporal Michael Angelo Jacar, Pamplona police investigator, said the initial probe showed that while traversing southbound from Barangay San Gabriel, Jinsen Antonio, 19, lost control of his mountain bike and was bumped by a tailing passenger jeepney driven by Fidel San Juan, 25, around 6:45 a.m. in Barangay San Isidro.

Antonio fell on the ground and was ran over by the said jeepney.

Antonio suffered fatal injuries and died on the way to the Bicol Medical Center Hospital in Naga City.

San Juan was arrested and is facing charges for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
