LOS BAÑOS, Laguna, Philippines — Three towns in Laguna province have adopted guidelines to implement “shifting” schedules for buyers in their public markets over the weekend as a measure against the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In separate announcements made on social media, the governments of Alaminos, Bay, and Siniloan detailed their buying guidelines and schedules.

Alaminos residents can buy from the public market between 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Only 30 people at a time would be allowed in the market, and social distancing of at least a meter apart should be observed. All are required to enter from the front and exit at the wet and dry section.
