LIGAO CITY –– The Indian community in Legazpi City and Daraga town in Albay province donated on Thursday 10 sacks of rice to the local government of Camalig to distribute to their residents affected by the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.

Camalig Mayor Carlos Irwin Baldo Jr. expressed his gratitude to the Indian nationals “for their unselfish contribution and support for the Filipinos” in a Facebook post.

He said the rice would be packed and distributed to Camalig residents who were told to stay home to curb the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
