Only 2 COVID-19 patients remain in Cagayan Valley hospital

CAUAYAN CITY –– Only two patients stricken with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) remain confined in Cagayan Valley, now that 24 patients have recovered, the Department of Health reported on Thursday (April 16).

A health worker, tagged as PH4200, of San Agustin town in Isabela, is in a stable condition at the Santiago Medical City, according to Dr. Anthony Toquilar, hospital chief. PH4200’s close contacts have been tracked down, and have tested negative of the virus.

Another health worker in Isabela’s Cauayan City, identified as PH4805, has been cleared based on her latest test and is in the process of being discharged by the Southern Isabela Medical Center in Santiago City, also in Isabela province.

Another Santiago City patient, PH3987, also a health worker, has been discharged.

In Cagayan province, all 14 patients have been discharged from the Cagayan Valley Medical Center in Tuguegarao City, according to Dr. Glenn Mathew Baggao, CVMC hospital chief.

In Nueva Vizcaya, PH2315 tested negative of the virus on Thursday at the Region 2 Trauma and Medical Center, according to Dr. Napoleon Obaña, hospital chief. The patient is among five infection cases in the province. One had died, but the rest were cleared after their second laboratory tests.
