Ilagan City gets first cases of COVID-19
CITY OF ILAGAN – This city recorded its first three cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Tuesday after registering zero cases since the pandemic started, local health officials said.
Llexter Guzman, health education and promotion officer of the Department of Health in Cagayan Valley, said the cases include a 22-year-old resident of Camunatan village, a 19-year-old woman from Barangay Naguilian Sur, and a 39-year-old man from Barangay Calamagui 2nd. They had a travel history to Metro Manila.
They were taken to a quarantine facility and will be treated at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center.
In Cagayan province, a worker at a power utility company in Santiago City also tested positive for COVID-19. The patient was listed as a new case in Solana town where he resides.
