A 46-year-old man who reported his missing wallet to the police got arrested as it turned out that he had left the wallet behind during an earlier burglary in Washington in the United States.

The man, whose name was withheld, apparently left his entire backpack at the West Seattle apartment he broke into yesterday, Aug. 14, according to a Seattle Police Department blotter on the same day.

She and her boyfriend then told the man to leave, which he did, before they called 911. The couple informed the police of the man’s description and that he might have had a dog with him, although police were unable to locate the suspect in the area.

The backpack found at the scene contained an ID of the suspect, which reportedly matched the couple’s description of the man.

Police then contacted the man, who refused to file a report, and saw that his appearance matched that of the burglary victims’ description and also found out that he had a dog.

The couple was then brought in by the police and confirmed that the man is their burglar. The suspect has since been booked to the King County Jail.

The man may also face animal abuse charges as animal control officers, who are now looking into the case, found evidence of recent injuries to the man’s dog.  /ra
