COVID-19 positive Revilla recovering; to be discharged from hospital
MANILA, Philippines — Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., who recently contracted COVID-19, said his doctors have cleared him to go home following a week of treatment in the hospital.
After developing pneumonia, Revilla was rushed to a hospital last August 18.
“Great news po! The doctors have cleared me for discharge. I am so excited to go home,” the senator said in a Facebook post on Monday.

He said he would continue his treatment at home.

The senator, meanwhile, expressed gratitude to those offering prayers for his recovery as well as those sending words of encouragement and well wishes.
Revilla disclosed his bout with COVID-19 last August 9.
He is the fourth senator to test positive for the virus, which has already infected over 190,000 in the country.
Senators who previously got infected were Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri and Senators Sonny Angara and Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel Jr., all of whom have already recovered.
