NCRPO has a new 3rd highest official

MANILA, Philippines — The National Capital Region Police Office has a new third-highest official.

Brig. Gen. Florencio Ortilla is now the deputy regional director for operations of the NCRPO, replacing Brig. Gen. Florendo Quibuyen, Philippine National Police spokesperson Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac said in a statement Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Col. Rommel Bernardo Cabagnot was appointed acting chief of regional staff of the NCRPO.

Their reassignments took effect on August 24.

The two highest posts in the Metro Manila police are currently occupied by NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas as the regional director, and Brig. Gen. Nolasco Bathan as deputy regional director for administration.

According to Banac, Quibuyen opted to avail of non-duty status in preparation for his retirement on October 6. He said the vacancy prompted the PNP leadership to elevate Ortilla from his previous post as chief of the regional staff of the NCRPO.

In the PNP headquarters at Camp Crame, the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations – Northern Luzon also has two new high-ranking officials: Brig. Gen. Oliver Enmodias as deputy director and Col. Arthur Cabalona as acting executive officer.

The two officials will assume their new posts on Thursday, August 27.

Before this new reassignments, PNP chief Gen. Archie Gamboa formalized the promotion of PNP Director for Intelligence Maj. Gen. Ferdinand Divina and Director for Comptrollership Maj. Gen. Marni Marcos Jr. to the two-star rank on August 19.
