When he opened the foil, he initially didn’t realize what was inside, Fox-affiliate WITI reported yesterday, Sept. 16.

Instead, he mistook it for a chicken breast before deciding that it was a brain. Senda then also asked people nearby what they thought the washed-up item was.

After they agreed that Senda had chanced upon a brain, he immediately called authorities. When officers arrived, they also stated that the object was a brain.

Along with the brain, the aluminum foil also contained flowers and papers that feature what appeared to be Mandarin characters.

Though it was definitely a shocking find for Senda, he is somewhat happy that he was the one who discovered it on the beach.

“There’s a lot of kids and families that are down here, and what happens if a kid would have found it?” he told the news outlet.

Senda later posted photos of the brain on his Facebook  on Sept. 16.

Officers believe that the brain does not belong to a human. However, they are still awaiting the confirmation of the local medical examiner’s office. Ryan Arcadio/JB
