CITY OF MALOLOS鈥揚olice seized P680,000 worth of shabu, or crystal meth, from a pregnant woman and her companion during a buy-bust operation in this city late on Monday (Sept. 21).
Col. Lawrence Cajipe, Bulacan police director, said Caroline Matavia, 34, alias 鈥淐asandra,鈥� who is six months pregnant, was caught with 29 sachets of shabu along the Bulacan State University diversion road here around 11:30 p.m.
Her companion was identified as Ronald Catambis, 46. Both suspects were described as 鈥渉igh- value targets鈥� by the local police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Seized from them were a black bag, a weighing scale, two mobile phones, a .38-caliber revolver, a motorcyle and marked money.
