Cardinal Chito Tagle beats COVID-19
Former Manila Archbishop Cardinal Luis Antonio “Chito” Tagle, the Vatican’s prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, has tested negative for COVID-19, 12 days after he was found with the virus upon his arrival from Rome.
The cardinal is set to deliver on Sept. 25 a keynote address to the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines, which recently elected Sister Marissa Viri, president of the University of the Immaculate Conception in Davao City, as its president.
