MANILA, Philippines — Police rounded up 95 people early Saturday for alleged quarantine violations after they were caught drinking in a restobar along Tomas Morato Avenue in Quezon City.

According to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), the Kamuning Police Station received a tip from Quezon City councilor Allan Francisco about the operations of the restobar.

Police officers then went to the establishment at 1:20 a.m. and rounded up the suspects.

The QCPD said that the suspects were brought to the police station, and will be charged for violating the ”Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act” or Republic Act 11332, violating city ordinances on the wearing of face masks, and observing curfew hours in Quezon City, as well as violating Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code.
