MANILA, Philippines — Consumers can buy as many masks and sanitizers as they want, after the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) lifted quantity limits that were previously placed to avoid supply shortages.

The DTI had recently released Memorandum Circular No. 20-54, which lifted the quantity limits in selling and purchasing disinfecting alcohols, hand sanitizers, disinfecting liquids and masks (N95 and N88).

It came in effect starting Oct. 17, as the DTI cited the need to let businesses get their fair return in their investments.
