TUGUEGARAO CITY –– At least 50 villages in Cagayan province remained isolated by floods and local officials will airlift the relief goods to aid the displaced residents.

The Cagayan government has tapped the help of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) to deliver relief goods to the flood-hit villages in the towns of Enrile, Baggao, Amulung, Alcala, Lal-lo, and Sto. Niño.

These villages remained inaccessible by land, and local authorities would send a helicopter from the PAF’s 505th Rescue and 205th Helicopter Wing, according to the Cagayan provincial information office.

Over 300,000 residents in the province were affected by the massive flood since last week.
