Customers of Maynilad Water Services Inc. will experience service interruptions until Nov. 24 as the company removes sludge in their reservoirs. Maynilad said it would cut output of treated water from Nov. 18 to 24 and this would affect customers in Manila, Quezon City, Makati, Caloocan, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon, as well as cities in Cavite. Manila Water Co., which serves eastern Metro Manila, also implemented water interruptions last week in the immediate aftermath of Typhoon “Ulysses” (international name: Vamco). —RONNEL W. DOMINGO
