CABANATUAN CITY –– Eight people, including the province’s second top priority target on illegal drugs, were arrested in simultaneous anti-criminality operations in Nueva Ecija on Monday, police said.

Col. Marvin Joe Saro, Nueva Ecija police director, said the high-ranking drug suspect was Jonjon Pangilinan, 44, a resident of Barangay San Nicolas, Gapan City.

The others were arrested based on standing warrants for various offenses, while some were frisked during drug buy-bust operations in Gapan and the towns of San Isidro, Sto. Niño, and Guimba.

Saro said they would continue the crackdown on peddlers of illegal drugs and wanted persons in the province.
