A baby who contracted COVID-19 just nine days after his birth in Spain last October has finally recovered from the disease.
Little Petru caught the coronavirus from his older brother, who was asymptomatic at the time, as per the Euro Weekly 黑料社 on Jan. 7.
As the baby鈥檚 condition began to worsen, his parents, Cristina and Jos茅, rushed him to the Vithas Valencia 9 de Octubre鈥檚 pediatric emergency department. When the staff confirmed that Petru had contracted COVID-19, they immediately placed him in an intensive care unit.
After 70 long days in the hospital, Petru finally tested negative for the virus and was allowed to reunite with his family. Following the good news, staff bid him goodbye with applause, as seen on the hospital鈥檚 Twitter page earlier today, Jan. 8.
As铆 ha sido la salida de Petru de馃彞 Valencia 9 de Octubre tras 70 d铆as ingresado en la UCI pedi谩trica. Nuestra enhorabuena a los profesionales del centro por su trabajo y dedicaci贸n, al peque帽o Petru por su valent铆a y a sus pap谩s, Cristina y Jose, por confiar en nosotros.
