LOOK: Duque, Galvez visit warehouse for COVID-19 vaccines in Laguna

MANILA, Philippines — In anticipation of the arrival of COVID-19 vaccines in February, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III and vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. on Wednesday visited a warehouse in Laguna where the vaccines will be stored.

In a photo posted on the Department of Health’s (DOH)  official Facebook page, Duque and Galvez were accompanied by the UNILAB Team in visiting the firm’s Cold Storage Management and Logistics warehouse in Biñan, Laguna.

DOH said the storage facility can store up to 5 million vaccine doses with the temperature requirement of +2 to +8 degrees celsius.

The DOH earlier said there are enough storage facilities in the country for vaccines that need to be kept at 2°C to 8°C and -20°C.

These include main sites in Metro Manila, regional centers, as well as provincial capitals.
